An IM8 Alternative for UK Buyers: What Is in the Tub, and What Is Not

You have an IM8 tab open. Most people hunting for an IM8 alternative in the UK are stuck on two questions. Is that breadth worth £2.61 a day? And is the thing you came for even in there?

We make Collagen Greens, so we're not neutral. But every IM8 figure below comes from IM8's own UK pages, checked August 2026.

Why people look for an IM8 alternative

Three reasons come up over and over.

The first is the bill. IM8 is £89 every four weeks on the monthly plan. That's £2.97 a day. The Telegraph called it "an eye-watering £89 a month" in a straight news report.

The second is the ingredient count. Ninety is a lot of things. It isn't the same as enough of any one thing.

The third is why we wrote this. Plenty of people come to greens powders wanting creatine, collagen, or both. IM8 has neither, and they print that themselves.

What IM8 genuinely gets right

Start here. It changes how you read the rest.

• NSF Certified for Sport. Every batch is screened against 280+ banned substances. That's the gold standard, and we don't have it.
• Real doses, published. MSM at 1,500mg. CoQ10 at 100mg. Vitamin C at 900mg. Sam Rice, in The Telegraph, called MSM and CoQ10 "clinical doses that actually work". They publish mg figures ingredient by ingredient, and most of this category doesn't.
• A four-tier gut system. 3g of prebiotic fibre, 10 billion CFU of probiotics, a named postbiotic and six enzymes. More complete than ours.
• It tastes like a drink. Three fruit flavours, engineered to be enjoyable. Ours is unflavoured and earthy.
• They tested the finished product. Most brands here only cite studies on single ingredients. That deserves credit.
• UK logistics are clean. They price in pounds. Subscriptions ship free to the UK. Their own page promises "no surprise duties at the door", and we found none.

If breadth is what you want, IM8 is a serious product. Nothing below changes that.

Ninety ingredients, and the two you came for are not in it

IM8's product page has a panel headed "DOES NOT CONTAIN". Here it is, in their words.

So we never have to assert an absence. They state it themselves, where you buy it.

IM8's UK landing page has a "One Scoop Replaces" graphic, and collagen appears on it. Their product page lists collagen under "does not contain". Both were live on the same day in August 2026.

The charitable reading is the right one. MSM and vitamin C support your body's own collagen production. That's a real mechanism, and their copy points at it clearly.

But it's a different thing from 4g of collagen peptides in the tub. Supporting synthesis isn't the same as supplying the material. If peptides are what you came for, read the label rather than the graphic.

Dose or breadth. You are picking one

IM8's UK page headline is "90 Ingredients. Every Dose Published." Their copy goes after proprietary blends, and fairly so. They publish more than almost anyone here.

Which is why their own numbers make the point. Take CRT8™, their Cell Rejuvenation Technology blend. Their ingredient analysis calls it "a proprietary blend of six bioactive plant compounds" at 100mg per serving. The total is published. The split between the six isn't. One hundred milligrams shared six ways is a small amount each. Their own text adds that "the complete blend has not been studied as a discrete intervention".

Sam Rice made the point in The Telegraph. "But with 92 ingredients, you are probably paying for a lot of window dressing you could easily get from your fridge."

Our scoop goes the other way. 4,000mg of creatine monohydrate and 4,000mg of bovine collagen peptides, Type I and III. That's 63% of a 12.6g scoop by weight. Nothing else sold in the UK pairs both at those doses in one scoop. The greens are the matrix around them, and they're modestly dosed. Two mechanisms at research doses, rather than ninety at once.

What the evidence currently shows

IM8's four headline stats come from one trial, registered as NCT06655597. Sixty participants. Investigator-blinded, not participant-blinded. The registered primary outcome is body morphology at twelve weeks. No results are posted and no paper has been published yet.

That's early, not worthless. It's also more than most of this category has done. We have no trial on our own finished formula either.

The real cost per day

Checked August 2026, from each brand's own UK site.

• IM8 quarterly: £235 up front every twelve weeks, 90 servings. £2.61 a day.
• IM8 monthly: £89 every four weeks, 30 servings. £2.97 a day.
• IM8 one-off: £112 plus £6 express delivery. £3.93 a day.
• Collagen Greens: £38.50 your first month, then £44, 33 servings. £1.33 a day, or £1.44 with £3.50 delivery.

We should be fair about delivery. IM8 ships free to the UK on both subscription plans. We charge £3.50, and our free delivery only starts over £70 after discounts. A first order really costs £42.00.

Where it is made, and what happens if you hate it

IM8 says its products are made in New Jersey, USA, by Vitaquest. They quote 3 to 5 business days to the UK. They publish no UK dispatch address, so we won't guess at one. Ours is made in the UK. It dispatches the same day if you order before 2pm, from our own Newcastle warehouse.

On refunds, read both sets of terms yourself. IM8's terms say you must return the product to get a refund. The money arrives within six weeks of them receiving it. Their guarantee covers new customers on a first order only.

Who should buy IM8 instead

Some of you. Genuinely.

• You are drug tested. NSF Certified for Sport isn't a badge, it's a requirement. We don't carry it. Buy IM8.
• You want to delete a shelf. If you buy a multivitamin, magnesium, vitamin D, CoQ10 and a probiotic separately, IM8 replaces the lot at real doses.
• You will not drink something earthy. Flavour is what makes a habit stick. Theirs tastes like a fruit drink. Ours doesn't.
• You don't want creatine or collagen. Those two are our whole argument. Without them, we're the wrong product for you.

Who should choose Collagen Greens

The other list is shorter.

• You want creatine and collagen at the doses used in the research. 4g of each, daily, in one scoop.
• You want to spend about half as much per day on a habit you plan to keep for years.
• You would rather understand two things working than hope ninety are.

Questions people ask

Does IM8 contain collagen or creatine?

No. IM8's own product page lists both under "does not contain", checked August 2026. Their UK landing page does list collagen among the things one scoop replaces. We read that as a nod to MSM and vitamin C.

Is Collagen Greens cheaper than IM8?

Yes, against IM8 specifically. We're £1.33 a day, or £1.44 with delivery. IM8 is £2.61 at best. We're not a cheap greens powder in general, though. Several UK brands cost less per day than we do.

Does a UK buyer pay customs or duty on IM8?

No. We priced a live cart to a Newcastle postcode and nothing was added. IM8 prices in pounds, and their own page promises no surprise duties at the door. The honest difference is origin and speed. We run the same sums in our AG1 comparison.

What does Collagen Greens taste like?

Clean and earthy. It's unflavoured, so it tastes of real greens. No added sugar, no artificial sweeteners, just a whisper of stevia leaf. It contains wheatgrass and barley grass, so it isn't suitable if you avoid gluten.
