Best Unflavoured Greens Powder UK: Only Two Have Nothing Added

We read the ingredients list on sixteen of them in August 2026. Only two had none of those things.
Neither of them is ours. We will come back to that.
The short answer
Cheapest with nothing added: WeightWorld Organic Super Greens. It is £12.99 for 200g at Boots, which works out at 32p a serving. No flavouring, no sweetener, no fruit powder.
Most greens for the money: Applied Nutrition Greens Powder Unflavoured. It is £15.00 for 150g at Boots, or 50p a serving. Seventeen ingredients, and nothing added to any of them.
If you only wanted the answer, that is it. The rest of this explains why the word "unflavoured" on a tub is worth so little.
The same blend, sold twice
Applied Nutrition sell two greens powders. One is flavoured. One is not.
We put the two ingredients lists side by side. The first seventeen ingredients are identical. The flavoured one then adds three more: citric acid, natural flavouring, and sucralose.
That is the whole difference. Same greens, same order, same doses.

At normal prices the two cost the same. On the day we checked, Holland & Barrett had the flavoured one at a third off, so the plain one was £5 dearer.
Unflavoured is rarely the cheap option. It sells more slowly, so it gets discounted less.
"Unflavoured" is not a regulated word
Nobody polices it. A tub can say unflavoured and still contain a sweetener, or a fruit juice powder doing the same job.
So we sorted all sixteen decks into three groups.

Naturya is the shortest deck we found anywhere. Six ingredients: wheatgrass 30%, hemp protein 30%, barleygrass 20%, banana powder, chlorella 5%, spirulina 5%.
The declared percentages add up to 90%. So the banana powder is the missing 10%. That is a lot of banana.

Prices checked at Holland & Barrett, Boots and Ocado on 13 August 2026. Several were on promotion that day and will have moved since. We could not isolate a full ingredients list for Huel Daily Greens on either retailer page, so we have said nothing else about it.
Where we sit, and it is not at the top
Collagen Greens has no flavouring in it. It does have steviol glycosides, which is stevia leaf sweetener.
So on the strictest reading of the question, we are not an unflavoured greens powder. We are an unflavoured one with a sweetener in it.
Our deck also contains blueberry juice powder and carrot powder. Both are there as ingredients rather than as flavouring. They are still in there, and you should know that before you buy.
If you want nothing at all added, buy the WeightWorld or the plain Applied Nutrition. We are the wrong product for you and we would rather say so.
The thing nobody checks: how much of it is greens
Unflavoured tells you what is missing. It tells you nothing about what is there.
Look at the first ingredient instead. It is the biggest one by weight, by law.

Two of those unflavoured powders start with a fibre. One starts with pea protein. On the Myvitamins deck, the spinach, broccoli and kale are declared at 0.8% each.
WeightWorld is the cheapest here, and two thirds of it is flaxseed, baobab and maca. That is a fine product. It is not really a greens powder.
The same test catches us. Our first two ingredients are collagen and creatine, which are 8g of a 12.6g scoop. About two thirds of our scoop is not greens either.
We put that on the front of the bag. Saying it about ourselves is what earns the right to say it about anyone else.
What none of them add
Several of the powders we checked add vitamins or minerals as separate ingredients. Holland & Barrett add zinc and B12. Bioglan adds vitamin C, iron, zinc, vitamin E and B12. Bloom adds calcium citrate. Myvitamins adds vitamin D3, which in their case is made from algae.
There is nothing wrong with any of that. It is worth knowing, because those numbers on the back then come from the added ingredient rather than from the greens.
We add none. Our vitamin content is whatever the greens happen to contain, which is modest. That is a purity point, not a strength point, and we are not going to pretend otherwise.

What unflavoured greens actually taste like
Like grass. There is no way around it.
Ours is earthy and a bit green. The plain Applied Nutrition is milder, because pea protein is bland and there is a lot of it. Naturya tastes strongly of wheatgrass with a banana edge.
Three things make any of them easier to drink.
Use cold water rather than warm. Cold blunts the grassiness, and warm water brings it out.
Mix it and drink it, rather than sipping it over ten minutes. Greens powders settle and get worse as they sit.
Put it in a smoothie if you would rather not taste it at all. Half a banana and some frozen berries will hide anything on this page.

- Organic. Aduna or WeightWorld.
- Vegan. Any of the above. Not us, because our collagen comes from cattle.
- Collagen and creatine in the same scoop, without a mango flavour. That is what we make, and the stevia is on the label.

Questions people ask
Is unflavoured the same as unsweetened?
No, and this catches a lot of people. Flavourings and sweeteners are different ingredients with different jobs. A powder can have no flavouring and still contain sucralose or stevia. Read the last few lines of the ingredients list, because that is where sweeteners usually sit.
Which UK greens powders have no sweetener and no flavouring?
Of the sixteen we checked in August 2026, two: WeightWorld Organic Super Greens at Boots and Applied Nutrition Greens Powder Unflavoured, also at Boots. Three more had neither, but did contain a sweet fruit powder. Those were Naturya, Aduna and Myvitamins.
Does Collagen Greens contain sweetener?
Yes. It contains steviol glycosides, which come from the stevia leaf. There is no flavouring in it, and no added sugar. If you want a powder with no sweetener of any kind, ours is not it.
Is unflavoured greens powder better for you?
Not by itself. It has fewer ingredients, which some people prefer, but that is not the same as being more nutritious. A flavoured powder with more actual greens in it will do more for you than a plain one that is mostly fibre.
What does unflavoured greens powder taste like?
Grassy and earthy, a bit like wheatgrass juice. Cold water helps, and drinking it quickly helps more. In a smoothie you will not notice it.
