Yes. You can take creatine and collagen together, and there is no need to space them out.
They work through completely different mechanisms and do not compete for absorption. Mixing both into the same cold drink is fine.
That is the short answer. The longer answer is more useful. The two are often taken by the same person for related reasons, and there are a few things worth getting right.
Creatine and collagen end up in different places doing different jobs.
Creatine is carried into muscle by its own transporter and stored there as phosphocreatine. Its job is to help regenerate ATP, which is the molecule your cells spend when they do work. That is why it is associated with strength and with high-intensity effort.
Collagen is a protein. Once you drink it, it is broken down into amino acids and short peptides, mostly glycine, proline and hydroxyproline. Those become raw material your body can use for connective tissue.
So one is a fuel-system ingredient and the other is a building material. They do not use the same pathway and neither one blocks the other.
THE SHORT VERSION
If you are taking creatine and collagen anyway, you can have them in one drink instead of two. Collagen Greens carries 4g of creatine monohydrate and 4g of bovine collagen peptides in a raw greens base, with a digestive enzyme complex.

These are the ranges the research uses. They are not a recommendation, and they are not medical advice.
| Creatine monohydrate | Collagen peptides | |
|---|---|---|
| Typical daily amount in studies | 3g to 5g | 2.5g to 15g |
| Loading phase | Optional, about 0.3g per kg for 5 to 7 days | Not used |
| How long to build up | 3 to 4 weeks without loading | Studies usually run 8 to 12 weeks |
| Timing | Barely matters, daily consistency does | No strong evidence for a best time |
Creatine figures follow the International Society of Sports Nutrition position stand on creatine supplementation. Collagen ranges are those commonly used in published trials.
The creatine number is the one people get wrong. You do not have to load. Taking 3g to 5g a day with no loading phase gets you to the same place in about three to four weeks.
We go through the dose properly, including loading and what UK products actually give you, in how much creatine per day.
Our own serving is 4g of creatine, which sits in the middle of that range.
A few things get repeated online that are worth being careful about.
Vitamin C and collagen. Vitamin C is involved in how your body makes its own collagen, so it is often sold alongside it. That is reasonable. It does not mean collagen fails to work without it.
Creatine with carbohydrate. There is some evidence that taking creatine with carbohydrate slightly increases muscle uptake. The effect is small and it does not change the daily amount you need.
Hot drinks. Do not stir either into boiling water and leave it. Cold or lukewarm water is fine for both.
Digestive enzymes. Ours includes a six-enzyme complex plus bromelain. That is there to help with how the drink sits, not to make the creatine work harder.
The overlap is not an accident. The people most often told to consider creatine are also the people most often told to consider collagen.
That is mostly adults from their late thirties onwards, and increasingly women over 40. Strength, recovery and connective tissue all become things you have to think about rather than things that just happen.
We have written more about that in our guide to creatine for women over 40.
Two supplements means two tubs, two scoops and two things to reorder. That is the only real problem with taking them together, and it is a practical one rather than a biological one.
If you would rather not run two tubs, there are a few options in the UK. There are fewer than you might expect.
| Product | Creatine | Collagen | Greens | Per day |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Wellthy by Boots Skin Glow | 3g | 3g bovine | None | £0.60 |
| Free Soul CreaGlow | Yes | Marine | None | — |
| Collagen Greens | 4g | 4g bovine, Type I & III | Yes | £1.33 |
Checked August 2026. Prices and formulas change, so read the label before you buy.
Being straight about this: if all you want is creatine and collagen, the Boots sachets are cheaper than us. Sixty pence a day against our £1.33. They have no greens in them at all. That is the difference. If greens are not what you are after, it is not a difference worth paying for.
And buying two separate tubs is cheaper still. A 210g tub of creatine monohydrate is about £10, which is roughly 24p a day. A 150g tub of bovine collagen is about £25, or 83p a day. That is around £1.07 a day, and it works perfectly well.
What you are paying us for is not a better molecule. It is one scoop instead of two, with the greens already in it.

Yes. They do not react with each other and they do not compete for absorption. Use cold or lukewarm water rather than boiling.
There is no good reason to. Creatine works by building up in your muscles over weeks. Taking it at the same time every day matters more than choosing a particular hour.
No. Loading gets you to full muscle saturation faster, in about a week rather than three to four. Taking 3g to 5g a day from the start reaches the same place. The International Society of Sports Nutrition describes loading as optional.
Usually yes. Two own-brand tubs work out at roughly £1.07 a day, against £1.33 for our combined powder, which also includes greens. The reason to buy a combined product is convenience, not price.

Nine greens powders on UK shelves have a published UK country of origin. Four do not, including one British brand. Here is where each is made, and how to check any of them yourself.

We read the ingredients list on sixteen greens powders sold in the UK. Only two had no flavouring, no sweetener and no fruit powder. Ours is not one of them, and here is why.

3g to 5g a day for most people, and no, you do not need to load. What the dosing evidence says, whether bodyweight changes it, and what UK products actually give you per serving.
