Collagen Greens vs Huel Daily Greens: what's actually in the scoop
Tim GoodwinIf you are weighing up Collagen Greens vs Huel Daily Greens, you are looking at two green pouches. The prices land in much the same place. They look like the same purchase. They are not.
One of them is a multivitamin you drink. The other is two clinically-used actives with greens packed around them. We make one of them, so read this knowing that.
The fastest way to tell them apart is to weigh the scoop.
THE SHORT VERSION
Two pouches, two different jobs
Huel Daily Greens gives you all 26 vitamins and minerals, each one dosed and disclosed. It holds no creatine and no collagen. Collagen Greens does the opposite: 4g of each in every scoop, and no added vitamins or minerals at all. Pick the job you actually want done.

What the scoop is made of
A whole scoop of Huel Daily Greens weighs 8.5g. That is their serving, off their own label. Into those 8.5 grams go a greens blend, 26 vitamins and minerals, two probiotic strains, fibre and flavouring.
A scoop of Collagen Greens weighs 12.6g. Of that, 4,000mg is creatine monohydrate and 4,000mg is bovine collagen peptides.
So we put 8g of two actives into every serving. That is 94% of the weight of Huel's entire scoop, before you reach a single gram of greens.
Check it yourself. Both numbers sit on the labels. This is arithmetic, not marketing.
The maths matters because of what it makes room for. Creatine and collagen only do their work at gram doses. You cannot fit 8g of them into an 8.5g scoop that is also carrying 26 nutrients. Huel is not under-dosing creatine and collagen. Daily Greens contains none of either.
Collagen was never on the table for them. Daily Greens is fully vegan, and collagen is an animal protein. That is a design choice, not a flaw.
There is a tell in their own community. On the Huel subreddit, several Daily Greens drinkers mention stirring their own creatine into the glass. Nobody asked them to. They wanted greens and creatine in one drink, so they built it by hand.
Where Huel Daily Greens genuinely wins
Quite a lot. We are not going to be coy about it.
- Vitamins and minerals, decisively. All 26 essentials, each stated with an amount and a %RI. Vitamin C at 531%. Vitamin D at 920%. B12 at 212%. Zinc at 150%. Collagen Greens adds none of them. Not a small dose. None.
- Labelling discipline. Every added nutrient is stated per 8.5g serving, not per 100g. That is better than most of this shelf manages.
- Fully vegan. Ours contains bovine collagen and always will.
- Gluten. Huel states Daily Greens is gluten-free. Ours carries a "may contain wheat, barley, celery and gluten" warning. If you are coeliac, buy theirs.
- Flavour. Two in the UK, Original and Watermelon. We have none. Ours is unflavoured and earthy on purpose.
- Fibre, protein and probiotics. 1.0g of fibre, 0.9g of protein, and two named probiotic strains at stated counts. We use digestive enzymes instead. A different mechanism, not a better one.
- Scale. Huel holds 4.2 on Trustpilot from 28,601 reviews, brand-wide. We have 4.7 from 800+ verified reviews brand-wide, and 5.0 from 22 reviews on Collagen Greens itself. Theirs is the bigger number.
One number is worth explaining rather than attacking. Huel's page says "166 science-backed health benefits". That figure is real. It counts EU-approved nutrient claim statements, not 166 separate effects. Zinc alone accounts for eighteen. Huel publishes the method on its own site.
Where Collagen Greens wins
- 4,000mg of creatine monohydrate per serving. Daily Greens has none. Creatine is the mechanism behind a felt difference rather than a hopeful one.
- 4,000mg of bovine collagen peptides, Type I and III. Daily Greens has none, and cannot have any.
- One tub instead of three. If your morning is greens, then creatine, then collagen, this is one scoop and one subscription.
- Dispatch. Same-day before 2pm, Monday to Friday, from our UK warehouse.
- A guarantee with terms on it. 60 days, full refund on your first order, up to one whole opened bag.
Worth saying plainly: 4g is a working collagen dose, not a heroic one. A dedicated collagen tub will give you more per scoop. It just will not give you greens or creatine with it.
What each one costs
Prices were checked in August 2026, from each brand's own UK site.
Huel Daily Greens is £50 for 30 servings, or £45 on subscription. Huel displays that as £1.50 a serving.
Collagen Greens is £55 for 33 servings as a one-off. On Subscribe & Save it is £47 a month. That is £1.42 a day.
So the daily cost is roughly a wash. If you assumed Huel was the value pick, it is closer than that. Neither of us is the cheap option, mind. Plenty of UK greens powders cost well under a pound a day. If price is your deciding factor, we have worked the per-day sums across the category. Ours is not a price argument. It is a composition argument.

Who should buy which
Buy Huel Daily Greens if you are:
- Vegan or vegetarian. Ours contains bovine collagen, so it is not for you.
- Coeliac, or seriously avoiding gluten. Ours may contain wheat and barley.
- Trying to replace a multivitamin. Huel does that job properly. We do not do it at all.
- Plant-based and thinking about B12, iodine, iron or vitamin D.
- Only ever going to stick with a drink that tastes of something.
Buy Collagen Greens if you are:
- After a felt effect rather than nutritional cover. The creatine is the mechanism.
- Buying greens, collagen and creatine as three separate tubs already.
- Over 40 and thinking about skin, joints and staying strong. Creatine after 40 is worth ten minutes of your reading.
- Happy with an earthy, unflavoured drink you knock back in thirty seconds.
Buy neither if you already eat a genuinely varied, vegetable-heavy diet. Food first is the sound advice. Some of Huel's own customers say so in public, and it costs us nothing to agree.

Collagen Greens vs Huel Daily Greens: your questions
Does Huel Daily Greens contain creatine or collagen?
No, and no. We checked the full Original ingredient list in August 2026. Neither one appears. Collagen never will, because the product is vegan.
Can I take both?
You can, and some people do. They cover different ground, so there is little overlap. If you are pregnant, nursing or managing a health condition, ask your GP first. Huel states Daily Greens is not suitable in pregnancy, or for under-12s.
Will Collagen Greens replace my multivitamin?
No. We add no vitamins or minerals. The greens bring what greens bring, and that is all. If ticking off your daily nutrients is the job, Huel does it and we do not. Our comparison with AG1 covers the same ground for another vitamin-led greens.
What does Collagen Greens taste like?
Clean and earthy. It tastes of real greens, because that is what it is. There is no added sugar and there are no artificial sweeteners, just a whisper of stevia leaf. Most people mix it with 250 to 300ml of cold water and drink it in one go. If you need your greens to taste of watermelon, buy Huel.
