Sugar is in 80% of Processed Foods
Cutting back on your sugar intake is easier said than done. Because it’s in everything.
Up to 80% of processed foods are loaded with sugar, including foods you may not have thought of like low fat yoghurt (ironically, it actually makes you fat), ketchup and “healthy” brown bread(5). And it’s tough to spot as it’s hidden under 60 different names.
Fizzy drinks, for example, typically contain 10 teaspoons of sugar. That’s nearly DOUBLE the recommended daily allowance for women(6). Even the “diet” varieties aren’t safe, with sweetener infused drinks found to TREBLE your risk of Alzheimer’s. (7)
