You probably don't want another lecture on HOW to lose weight, am I right?
Should we count calories, do we need to avoid carbs, or sugar, or fat?
Is exercise on an empty stomach good, bad or just plain stupid?
Studies suggesting red wine is good, beer is bad, spirits don't count... but don't steal my double chocolate muffin away from me dude...
It's clear to see we're all just confused or fed up with so called experts telling us what we can or can't do in the name of health.
Thing is there's some basic habits, that are most likely NOT helping our weight loss cause... despite your very best efforts.
Weight Loss Killing Habit #1: Vino
During my time as a personal trainer in the busy EU city of Luxembourg, I once made a BET with one of my clients. Her weight loss efforts had stalled, and she wanted a better body. There was just ONE thing she wouldn't give up.
I bet her that if she cut out the vino for 30 days, she would lose an extra dress size. If she didn't lose the dress size I would train her FREE for a month!
After one month without the alcohol, she'd lost almost TWO dress sizes!
As much as telling you to stop or significantly reduce the vino is not fun, it does show you how one habit can stop your weight loss in it's tracks.
Weight Loss Killing Habit #2: Breakfast (or lack of)
Far too many folk SKIP breakfast, or think that breakfast is coffee and toast? It seems that the 'Intermittent Fasting' craze, has just given folk an excuse to skip the first meal of the day.
I'll tell you now its a false economy.
CAN and DOES work to reduce your overall calorie intake, however, routinely missing breakfast will set you up for snacking and cravings leading to over-eating at other times of the day.
I rarely skip breakfast. Breakfast is normally scrambled eggs and smoked salmon, washed down with our Super Greens Drink
, and my fish oil capsules. This normally means I don't need anything else until lunchtime, and never need to snack between meals.
Weight Loss Killing Habit #3: Sleep (or lack of)
Not getting enough sleep raises your bodies production of the stress hormone, Cortisol. Too much of this nasty substance, has a profound effect on our health... including increased storage of belly fat!
Commanding you to get better sleep is not helpful advice.
However in my own personal fight with improving my sleep patterns, I've found taking in a minerals supplement such as Magnesium and Zinc
has helped considerably. So there you have it 3 habits that are killing your weight loss efforts.
We mentioned a couple of nutritional supplements that can help you counter these poor habits. One being our Super Greens drink, Lean Greens, which comes in a powder form and is easily mixed with cold water, your juices or smoothies.
It's the 30 second drink that floods your body with nutrients, stopping cravings and helps you lower your addiction to sugar, carbs and over eating.
